A friend named these small bowls, Spirit Offering Bowls, and the name fits perfectly. This Spirit Offering Bowl was created from kiln-dried Spanish Cedar wood and is a nice size to hold jewelry, change, sage, or rose petals. It was turned with a small lip at the top of the bowl. The dark lines that are seen in the photos are not cracks, they are a darker color brown in the grain (grain only-no cracks). The bowl has been sanded to a smooth and silky finish and finished with a (satin) food safe quality product.
